A-Plus® Fast-Drying Plastic Wood Filler

A-Plus® Fast-Drying Plastic Wood Filler is a durable Lacquer-type plastic wood filler intended for repairing/filling gaps and surface imperfections on wood. It is easy to apply, fast-drying, exhibits good sanding properties, and is compatible with Lacquer-based coatings and wood varnishes. To achieve various shades, tint using A-Plus® Wood Stains.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Principal Uses: Ideal for interior wooden surfaces, joints, windows, door jambs, furniture, and many more.

Coverage: Full Putty – 10-12 square meter per gallon / coat

Spot Putty – 25 square meter per gallon / coat

Surface Dry: 10-15 mins

Recoat Interval: 30 mins – 1 hr

Dry Through: 1 hr

Clean-up Solvent: A-Plus® PG Lacquer Thinner

Application: Putty Knife/Spatula

SURFACE PREPARATIONS & PRECAUTIONS:

1. Make sure wood material is fully kiln dried/treated.
2. If previously painted, strip off all loose and chalking paint with A-Plus Supertanggal® Paint Remover. If necessary, remove wood discoloration by applying A-Plus® Wood Bleach #1 & #2.
3. Sand surface smooth to eliminate surface imperfections.
4. Surface to be applied on must be thoroughly cleaned, free of any contaminants that may affect adhesion such as wax, oil, grease, moisture, and loose particles.
5. Avoid applying under extreme environmental conditions and/or bad weather conditions.

PAINTING PROCEDURES:

New Wood:

1. Sealer Coat: Apply at least 2 coats of A-Plus® NC Lacquer Sanding Sealer using spray application. Sand lightly(#220/#440) and allow at least 1 hr drying before putty.
2. Stain (Optional): Apply A-Plus® Wood Stain using either brush or spray. Stain can be mixed with A-Plus® Fast-Drying Plastic Wood Filler.
3. Putty: Correct surface imperfections using A-Plus® Fast-Drying Plastic Wood Filler. Sand smooth before applying another coat of A-Plus® NC Lacquer Sanding Sealer then sand again.
4. Final coat: Apply at least 2 coats of A-Plus® NC Lacquer Topcoat Varnishes.
