Davco Dustless Regular Tile Adhesive is an economical thick or thin bed (TTB) cement-based tile adhesive, ideal for laying tiles especially ceramic, baked clay tiles, quarry and monocottura tiles unto interior and exterior walls and floors.

Packaging: 25kg Bag

Coverage varies according to surface condition and the build up required.

  1. Using a 6mm x 6mm notched trowel approx. 6-7 sqm
  2. Using a 10mm x 10mm notched trowel approx. 5-6 sqm

Mixing and Application:

  • Add one 25kg bag of DAVCO Dustless Regular Tile Adhesive to approximately 5 to 6 litres of clean water, mixing continuously until a lump-free, creamy consistency is achieved.
  • Allow the mix to stand for 3 - 5 minutes; remix then use the adhesive.
  • Spread the adhesive onto the substrate using either a 6mm x 6mm notched trowel for wall tiling, or a 10mm x 10mm notched trowel for floor tiling. The choice of trowel should be determined by the size of the tiles, depth of knobs, grooves or ridges on the back of the tile and the evenness of the substrate.
  • A 6mm x 6mm notched trowel is recommended for the mosaic tiles.
  • Thicker bed of adhesive allow for better contact to the substrate as well as picking up unevenness especially in the case of slates.
  • For tiles with deep grooves or ridges, such as slate or lugged backed tiles, the adhesive should be butter coated onto the back of the tiles in addition to being notched-trowelled onto the substrate.
  • Do not spread more than 1 square meter of adhesive at a time. Ensure that the adhesive is wet when the tiles are laid and tapped into position to ensure positive contact with the adhesive.
  • Ensure that there are no voids under the tiles.
  • Install tiles within the duration of the open time. Do not disturb or walk-on tiles until they are laid for 24 hours.
