Glazer® Automotive Lacquer Paint
Glazer® Automotive Lacquer is a solvent-based Nitrocellulose Lacquer-type paint formulated with the finest quality Coco-Alkyd resin and carefully selected pigments to give maximum performance in terms of durability, adhesion, and protection. It is easy to apply and dries rapidly to a high gloss, long-wearing attractive finish ideal for a wide variety of substrates like wood, household furniture, handicrafts, appliances, toys, industrial structures, tools and equipment.

Principal Uses: Interior/Exterior: Wood surfaces such as doors, doorjambs, cabinets, and shelves. Can also be used on properly primed metal surfaces.

For Wooden Surfaces:
- Ensure wood material is fully kiln dried/treated.
- If previously painted, strip off all loose and chalking paint with A-Plus Supertanggal® Paint Remover. If necessary, remove wood discoloration by applying A-Plus® Wood Bleach #1 & #2.
- Sand surface smooth (#220/#440) to eliminate surface imperfections. For minor surface irregularities, patch up using Glazer® Auto Lacquer Putty. For major surface imperfections, use A-Plus Polytite® Polyester Body Filler.
- Surface to be applied on must be thoroughly cleaned, free of any contaminants that may affect adhesion such as wax, oil, grease, moisture, and loose particles.
- Avoid painting under extreme environmental conditions and/or bad weather conditions.
Painting Procedure on Wooden Substrates(Duco Finish):
- Primer: Apply at least 2 coats of Glazer® Auto Lacquer Primer. Sand lightly(#220/#440) before topcoat application. Allow at least 1 hr drying before correcting surface imperfections.
- Putty: Patch up large surface imperfections using A-Plus Polytite® Polyester Body Filler. For minor surface imperfections, apply Glazer® Auto Lacquer Putty or A-Plus® Fast-Drying Plastic Wood Filler. Sand (#150) smooth before applying another coat of primer.
- Primer: Spot prime using Glazer® Auto Lacquer Primer on areas where putty is applied.
- Final coat: Apply at least 2 coats of Glazer® Auto Lacquer Topcoat color of choice.
- Optional: For higher gloss, apply at least 2 coats of Glazer® Auto Lacquer Topcoat Clear.
Repainting:
- Strip off old paint using A-Plus Supertanggal® Paint Remover. If old lacquer finish is in good condition, sand surface.
- Make sure surface is clean and dry before applying Glazer® Auto Lacquer Primer.
- Apply at least 2 coats of Glazer® Auto Lacquer Topcoat color of choice.
- Optional: For higher gloss, apply at least 2 coats of Glazer® Auto Lacquer Topcoat Clear.
