Rain or Shine Classic Semi-Gloss Elastomeric

Rain or Shine Classic Elastomeric Semi-gloss Elastomeric is a water-based waterproofing topcoat paint for interior and exterior concrete surfaces. It is resistant to ultra-violet light, dirt, dust and temperature variations. It can bridge hairline cracks of vertical concrete walls. Used in conjunction with Rain or Shine Elasto-Proofer or Rain or Shine Elasto-Tex, it can prevent efflorescence. It has excellent gloss retention and adhesion to well-prepared concrete surfaces.

Material Description:

Use: Topcoat for concrete substrate

Appearance: Semi-gloss

Coverage: 20-25 sq. per 4 litres, depending on the porosity of the surface

Application Method: Brush or Roller

Reduction: Use as packaged

Application:

For new concrete:

1. New concrete should be given enough curing time ranging from one week to one month to reduce water and alkali to a safe level. Excess alkalinity should be neutralized with Concrete Neutralizer. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly. Dust off crystalline deposits if there are any.
2. Apply 1 coat Rain or Shine Elasto-Proofer (ROS-8000) or Rain or Shine Elasto-Tex (ROS-9000) or Rain or Shine Prepa-White (ROS-7000).
3. Repair all minor surface imperfections with Rain or Shine Power Putty (ROS-5000) after the first coat of Rain or Shine Elasto-Proofer (ROS-8000) or Rain or Shine Elasto-Tex (ROS-9000) or Rain or Shine Prepa-White (ROS-7000). Let dry and then sand. Drying time of Rain or Shine Power Putty (ROS-5000) depends on the wet film thickness of the applied putty.
4. Topcoat with two coats Rain or Shine Classic Elastomeric Semi-gloss Topcoat. Allow 2-4 hours drying in between coats.

Renovation/Repainting:

1. Remove any flaking or peeling-off paint. Clean and sand old paint in good condition and dust-off before repainting.
2. Apply 1 coat Rain or Shine Elasto-Proofer (ROS-8000) or Rain or Shine Elasto-Tex (ROS-9000) or Rain or Shine Prepa-White (ROS-7000) if needed.
3. Repair all minor imperfections with Rain or Shine Power Putty (ROS-5000) after the first coat of Rain or Shine Elasto-Proofer (ROS-8000) or Rain or Shine Elasto-Tex (ROS-9000) or Rain or Shine Prepa-White (ROS-7000). Let dry and then sand. Drying time of Rain or Shine Power Putty (ROS-5000) depends on the wet film thickness of the applied putty.
4. Topcoat with two coats Rain or Shine Classic Elastomeric Semi-gloss Topcoat. Allow 2-4 hours drying in between coats. Increasing the number of coats will effectively improve the waterproofing capability and durability.

Caution:

Do not apply paint when humidity is high as heavy moisture content in the air will affect the performance of the coating
